Snow and Inclement Weather Policy

It is the policy of First Baptist Greenville to first consider the safety of its members and others attending all services and activities at the church. Listed below are the procedures for decisions to cancel services and activities:

Sunday Services
The chair of the Diaconate and a designated pastoral staff member will monitor weather conditions and make this decision as soon as possible.

Wednesday Night Activities
Decisions regarding these activities will be made as soon as possible depending on the weather and forecast.

Kindergarten and Infant-Toddler Program
These programs follow the Greenville County School closings. ITP will open 15 minutes after public schools in the case of delays.

AYMC
If the building is closed (as noted in above instances), there will be no basketball practices, games or other events scheduled in the AYMC.

Information on closings
To learn of closings and related decisions for church services and other activities:

1) The church will place a message on the answering service at the church which you may access by calling 233-2527. This will be the best way to receive closing information as long as the phone system is in operation and not affected.

2) When possible, the church website will list this information.

3) Local television stations may or may not list closings. WYFF 4 and WHNS FOX 21 will run closings on their websites if possible.

4) Radio stations running closings at this time are: WESC (92.5 FM), WMYI (102.5 FM) and WSSL (100.5 FM)
